Daily Market Recap 11/11/2021 91
The VN-INDEX lost 2.7 pts today as selling pressure against various market pillars. Following yesterday’s positive sentiment, after the opening bell, the VN-INDEX started the session in the green. Then, the market faced strong selling pressure as profit taking activities emerged and the index was pushed down to its intraday low of 1,449.2pts (-0.5%) in the middle of morning session. However, the buying demand pulled the market back to the green territory and reached its intraday high at 1,472.9pts. Surprisingly, as the afternoon session was nearing its end, profit-taking activities emerged once again and overwhelmed other large caps, pushing the VN-INDEX down below reference point. Notably, HPG became today’s top laggard, losing 2.4% to end at VND54,000, followed VHM (-1.3%), GAS (-1.2%), CTG (-1.7%), and MBB (-1.8%), eroding 4.4pts of the index. On the other hand, other large caps supported the VN-INDEX, including GVR (+2.0%), VCB (+0.7%), MWG (+2.7%), together adding only 2.1pts to the index. At the end of the session, the VN-INDEX inched down 0.2% to close at 1,462.4pts, while the HNX-INDEX increased 0.1% to land at 438.7pts.
