Market Commentary: The VN-INDEX increased for the third consecutive sessions

The VN-INDEX continued to increased 15.1pts to 1,467.9pts for the third consecutive sessions. After the opening bell, the index quickly dropped to the red territory and touched its intraday low of 1,447.2pts (-0.3%). HPG was the main contributor for the dip by decreasing 0.2% and other large caps also lost ground, including SAB (-0.3%) and VPB (-0.4%). Ever since, the index soon recovered from the fall and gradually increased until noon break. In the afternoon session, the uptrend momentum continued to be strengthen due to strong buying behavior among almost large caps. VIC became the top mover of today’s session by increasing 1.0% and alone adding 1.1pts to the index’s advance. Other large caps also joined the rally, including CTG (+2.3%), MSN (+1.9%), VHM (+0.7%), VNM (+1.2%), SSI (+3.9%), VCB (+0.5%) and NVL (+1.0%). At the end of the session, the VN-INDEX rose 1.0% to close at 1,467.9pts and the HNX-INDEX also edged up 0.6% to finish at 452.5pts in today’s session.
