Market Commentary: The VN-INDEX approaching 1,400pt-level with 0.8% increase

The VN-INDEX recorded a 10.4pts gain to reach 1,390.1pts with the support from Financials and Real Estate large caps. After the opening bell, the VN-INDEX fluctuated slightly around the reference point and slowly rose to its intraday high of 1,390.1pts in the afternoon session. VCB became today’s largest support, gaining 1.7% to VND112,600, alone adding 1.9pts to the index’s rise. Other Financials and Real Estate market pillars also joined the rally and strengthen the index’s rise, including NVL (+3.6%), PDR (+6.7%), TCB (+1.4%), SSI (+7.0%), HDB (+3.1%) and CTG (+0.7%). On the other hand, a few blue chips lost ground, including VIB (-1.8%), VPB (-0.6%), VRE (-1.2%), SBT (-2.3%) and GEX (-2.3%). Overall, the bull-side successfully kept the VN-INDEX in the green territory. Finally, the index closed up 0.8% at 1,390.1pts, the highest closing point in history, with 186 gainers and 118 losers. The HNX-INDEX also edged up 1.0% to 318.2pts.
